Started in 1899 by Alvin C. Sheetz, the Richard A. Sheetz Funeral Home is among the oldest funeral homes in Lancaster County. For the past 44 years, it had been operated by Dick Sheetz and his wife, Marty. Unfortunately, Dick passed away shortly after they merged with the Kearney A. Snyder Funeral Home in February, 2006. Randy L. Stoltzfus, funeral director, is the Supervisor of the funeral home in Rohrerstown, and Marty Sheetz is still very actively involved in the operation as well.
