Traditional Burial Options
A funeral provides an opportunity to reflect and celebrate the life of your loved one. It is also a time for the remaining family members and friends to grieve and reflect. At the Kearney A. Snyder Funeral Home, we encourage you to personalize your service with the use of photographs, and other memory items to ensure a meaningful service, which had been proven to help with the healing process. Traditional Funeral Service with Viewing:
This option is the most common service selected by the families that we serve. This service may include a private family or public viewing of the deceased. This viewing is then followed by a service, typically in a church or other place of worship or at one of our funeral homes. Finally, the service would be followed by the earth or above ground burial of the casketed remains.
Traditional Funeral Service without viewing
This option is identical to the above except it excludes a viewing of the body. A greeting time without the viewing of the body is referred to as a visitation.
Graveside Service:
This option excludes a viewing and service and instead simply consists of having the casketed remains transferred to the cemetery where a graveside ceremony could take place followed by the burial.
